The TI-Collège Plus Solaire is the same
calculator as the TI-Collège Plus from 2007 but
with an added solar cell.
As should be obvious from its name and keys, it is meant for the French speaking market. It has a 4-line display and is capable of displaying mathematical results for specific operations. For instance the answer to "SIN(π:4" is √2/2. When a decimal result is displayed that could be a proper fraction, the f◄►d function or the or ◄► can be used to try to turn it into a fraction. An example, a specific result is "0.25". When using f◄►d or ◄► this is converted to 25/100. Use ►simp multiple times to simplify this into 1/4. It has a specific method to deal with variables. Available variables are x, y, z, t, a, b and c. One key is used to enter a variable when needed, press it multiple times to get to a specific variable. A nice function, which can almost be seen as a kind of programming, is the op key. First define a sequence using déf op, which can make use of previous results using rép (the ANS function in English). After that the op key can be used to walk through the iterations of the defined sequence. The TI wiki planet website has an article, in French on this calculator here (link validated 2025-12-06). When I type this, in december 2025, it is still for sale. |
